Isabel Sörling - Espace Gould
Born in 1987 in Ulricehamn, Sweden, Isabel Sörling now lives and works in France, participating in many musical and interdisciplinary projects (Airelle Besson Quartet, Paul Lay, Cabaret Contemporain, Paul Anquez, Bribe4, Clément Édouard, Cirque Farouche, and more). Often working with her compatriot Linda Oláh, she sets herself apart with a lighter timbre and a preference for poetic texts and classical contexts (while occasionally indulging in singing pop). Here’s a little about her career and various projects. In just a few years, she has already recorded over 15 albums under her own name or in groups and has participated in a dozen other projects, including music for films and children’s albums. She is able to sing anything from Swedish nursery rhymes to a folk song from the American Civil War. The vocalist freely crosses borders, mixes genres, and spurns routine.
