Eve Beuvens & Mikael Godée Quartet
After have taken lessons of bass, Eve Beuvens begins piano at the age of 13 and was directly attracted to jazz. Parallel, she studies philosophy and after start to study at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel. She is graduated from the conservatory in 2005.
In 2009, her first album, «Noordzee» showcases a composer without cliche´s as well as a multi-faceted pianist. The album’s freshness and fluidity surprised the critics and captivated audiences with its poetry and intensity. With her band she then took part in a tour of the Lundis d’Hortense jazz association in 2009, the 12 Points festival in Norway in 2010, a Jazz Lab tour and Jazz Ahead in Germany in 2011.Ske takes part in projects of very different styles. She collaborated with Mikael Gode´e (Sax soprano) in a duo and quartet with a Swedish rhythmic section for several tours in Sweden and Belgium, releasing «MEQ» on the Spookhuis label in 2013. These experiences turned Eve into an increasingly complete, determined and convincing pianist.
For a carte blanche at the Gaume Jazz Festival in 2013, she creates the Heptatomic Septet, their album «Heptatomic» was released in September 2015. The quartet presents during this evening and for the first time in France his second album "Looking Forward » (Oct 2019 - IGLOO Records / Socadisc).
