Fiona Monbet, Franco-Irish violinist, was born in Paris in 1989. She is a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, in the class of Alexis Galpérine and Ami Flammer, of Didier Lockwood's Centre des Musiques (CMDL), and of the Lille Conservatoire in orchestral conducting.
Propelled by Didier Lockwood into the world of improvisation and contemporary music, Fiona now collaborates with many artists from various horizons such as Biréli Lagrène, Patricia Petibon, Pierre Cussac, Vladimir Cosma, or the director Tony Gatlif for whom she participates in the creation of the soundtracks of three films (Indignez-Vous, les Indignés, Geronimo).
In January 2018, Fiona joined the musical direction of the company Miroirs Etendus alongside her chamber music partner, the pianist Romain Louveau, and created the ensemble Miroirs Etendus composed of about fifteen musicians.
