What is soul? A stunning feeling, a rousing style of music, identity – each of these definitions applies to the Matti Klein Soul Trio. Touring worldwide since 2017, the trio is redefining the possibilities of soul jazz: with warm Wurlitzer, Fender Rhodes piano bass (both Matti Klein), swirling tenor saxophone and bass clarinet (Lars Dieterich), and elastic, funky drums (André Seidel). On the release tour for their new album Bouncin’ In Bubbleverse, they are thrilling critics and soul connoisseurs alike – with catchy melodies and impressive, long-lasting social reflections that reflect the diversity of their worldwide touring experiences.
