Etienne Manchon trio

Etienne Manchon trio à Jammin'Juan le 30 octobre

Etienne Manchon – Piano, keyboard / Théo Moutou – drums / Jules Billé – double bass

Étienne and Théo met at university in Toulouse. They soon became involved in a number of very different projects together, and especially frequented Toulouse’s countless jam sessions. Clément Daldosso (he is replaced here by Jules Billé), originally from the Gers, was a student at the Marciac college, specialising in jazz. It was almost 10 years later that the three met at the Jazz in Marciac festival. Piano, double bass, drums and keyboards come together in a musical fusion of jazz, rock and film music for this new project, Weird Life. Original compositions chiselled to measure, for a group with boundless energy whose favorite playground is undoubtedly live performance! The trio draws us into their world of progressive jazz, evoking both wide open spaces and smoky clubs, and hailing influences as varied as Bill Evans, Lizzy McAlpine and Tame Impala.
