Julia Richard combines tremendous vocal power and musical inspiration, rounded off with a strong visual effect (the contrast in size between her and her double bass doesn’t go unnoticed).
On vocals and bass, she composes and performs songs that create a harmonious bridge between jazz notes and the melodies of pop. Julia’s Mexican origins are reflected in her music, some numbers being performed in Spanish. Julia’s music contains a fusion of diverse influences reflecting her mixed cultural heritage, combining Latin, jazz, pop, French song and rock, which gives her an indescribable yet unique musical style, rooted in her powerful voice.
Julia Richard is currently recording an acoustic project which will be released in 2024. The themes covered, whether they deal with pollution, homosexuality, death or vulnerability, reflect a committed vision rooted in daily life.
