‘Ndiaz

'Ndiaz à Jammin'Juan le 7 novembre 2024

Yann Le Corre – accordion & electravox
Youn Kamm – trumpet
Jérôme Kerihuel – drums
Timothée Le Bour – saxophones & Fx

‘Ndiaz is one of the flagship groups of the new scene in Brittany; music to dance to, hybridised influences, a sound search for resonant music with elegant frenzy and an explosive trance. The group’s music, with dozens of concerts performed across Europe and the Americas (Quebec, USA, Brazil), is intended for celebration and physical exultation.
Their new album, La Brune, invites us into this very special moment of the day, bathed in colours that only the onset of evening reveals; the electric reds of dusk and petrol blues of summer nights. This very special moment when the party takes a new turn, where the fears of the day give way to exuberant dance. That moment when we chase away our fears amid the cries of the concert, suspended between two different lights. Music like a passing night which gives substance to the experiences of days gone by, perpetually searching for new tomorrows.
Percussion has given way to drums, brass instruments sprout multiple effects, and the accordion calls on the services of the electravox with its formidable bass.
With La Brune, the power quartet makes a move towards more electric music, with personal maturity.
‘Ndiaz never stops reinventing itself to plough the furrow of grounded, demanding, danceable music.
