No(w) Beauty

No(w) Beauty à Jammin'Juan le 8 novembre

Enzo Carniel – piano
Hermon Mehari – trumpet
Damien Varaillon – double bass
Stéphane Adsuar – drums

A collective band, mixing tradition and modern jazz, of timeless beauty.

The four young musicians in the group “No(w) Beauty” got together in Paris, where Hermon Mehari, a trumpeter originally from America, took up residence, like many of his peers before him. There, around the jazz clubs, a dialogue was created, then a friendship, thanks to the common language of music. Their personalities and influences then mingled and defined their sound: jazz standards, blues, French and European classical music, Hip-Hop, but also modern Jazz, the avant-garde.
Then, creating this osmosis which all musicians seek. The one that makes “doing together” so powerful, so beautiful, which gives us the strength to work, create and surpass ourselves. “There’s something special and intangible that happens when musicians who share the same synergy, the same musical values and the same aesthetic ideals, come together. That chemistry was there from the first time we played together. As a result, we had an incredibly rich foundation on which to develop our sound”, Hermon Mehari explains.
On the disc, you’ll find compositions from each member of the group.
