Following in the footsteps of musicians such as David Krakauer, Yom and the Wonder Rabbis and Ibrahim Maalouf, bass clarinettist Nils Kassap plays music that lies at the crossroads between the legacy of French jazz (Louis Sclavis, Michel Portal, Julien Lourau) and the influence of Eastern European clarinettists (Djecko Demirov, Ivo Papazov, Selim Sesler), all set against a backdrop of rock and groove that is not unlike Led Zeppelin or F.F.F.
